Obama's 'civilian national security force' -- huh?
I'm seriously confused. What's he talking about? I'm assuming he means we need a whole separate department? Would that be under the department of defense? Why haven't we heard more about this? I mean, is this a law-enforcement group or a military group?
I'm not sure I even care what he really meant, something left as vague as this freaks me out.
Just as powerful, just as well-funded?Do you realize what kind of budget that would be? Here's a few quotes from the press release summarizing the Defense Department's budget.
One more question for you Mr. Obama: Who will this fanciful "force" be fighting in particular and what weapons will they require?

President Bush’s Fiscal Year 2009 budget provides $515.4 billion in discretionary budget authority for the Department of Defense, a $35.9 billion or 7.5 percent increase over the enacted level for Fiscal Year 2008.So will President Obama get over $1 trillion in discretionary budget authority for the defense department plus this "civilian national security force?"

How are you supposed to know what Obama meant, when he doesn't know what he meant?
